A Common-sense Approach to Real Ease

ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release is a Martial Arts based discipline, created in NGATEA New Zealand, by Dale W. Speedy (6th dan Blackbelt Kiaido-Ryu) and Kym Summers. It is a practical study in what we call SKELETAL SENSORY SHOCK. Check out www.contactcare.co.nz if you are interested in more of the background and history of ConTact C.A.R.E.

Our perspective is; ConTact C.A.R.E recognises the skeleton has it's own self-defense system which automatically and independently engages when bone is impacted by surprise, these are called ‘Flinchlocks’. When this happens, an individual's balance centre shifts to accommodate the injury resulting in strain and tension away from the original impact site causing extra workload and pain.

ConTact C.A.R.E Practitioners locate and release trapped skeletal sensory shock held in the bone and tensioned throughout the body by triggered or 'flinched' surprise impacting situations or events. This is a gentle non-intrusive discipline which is safe and highly effective for resolving physical injury and trauma.
